Jonny's quotes

Here are some of my favorite things Jon said today.

Me: Jon! That is my toothbrush.
Jon: But, we're sharing.
Me: No, we are not Put my toothbrush back.
Jon: Well, I would share with you.

Jon: I can't eat peanut butter. I am scared of it.

(this time crying)
Jon: Mooommm, Ben called my fire balls (made out of play-dough) deer poop. (sob, sob) I don't want to make deer poop.

Ah, never a dull moment.

Cafe' Rio how I've missed you.

We had a whirl-wind trip this weekend. In three days time we saw lots of friends and family, attended my mom's musical review ( it was awesome by the way) and went to a wedding of one of my friends from Denver.

While driving the 8-plus hours, my mind was not thinking of all the people I was going to see, but the places I planned on eating. Lets face it. I have spent 8 months in a town where "The Coffee Cup" is the restaurant of choice. So, I started to plan. I knew I was really only going to be there for 2 meals, one of them being the wedding dinner. This was my plan.

Early lunch: Cafe' Rio
Lunch: Training Table
Early Dinner: The Italian place
Dinner: Eat at the wedding
Late night snack before leaving town: BYU creamery for a Sundae

But all of my plans went out the window when I was tempted at the temple by the smells drifting from the basement. We went down just for a snack before the wedding, and then I caved, and ended up eating a full blown chicken dinner with all the sides. I thought, "No fear, I can still eat at Cafe'Rio, but then the cobbler called to me. Before I knew it, I had eaten two dishes of cobbler. Needless to say, I never ate at Cafe' Rio.

So, I basically rolled out of the temple. I decided to give myself a small break before trying to tackle Cheese Fries and the ultimate dipping sauce. We ended up shopping too long and running to the wedding dinner. It was so good Pot roast and yummy sides. Good job Rigo family. Then my last hurrah. Jes came up to me and said. " Oh Jill, I thought of your sweet tooth when planning the cakes." Oh yes, four different kinds of wedding cakes and naturally, Jes wanted me to try them all.

I finally left Utah without eating at a single restaurant, but feeling oh so pleasantly full.

"It's not easy being green"

Last week I received a call from one of our missionaries saying " Hey, I am getting a new missionary straight from the M.T.C. You are going to be his first dinner appointment ever, so can you do something special for him?

This is what I came up with. Yummmmmm!!

Dinner Conversation

Ben: These are the best sandwiches you have ever made.
Nathan: Man, these are so much better than the ones you usually make.

Jill: Thanks, Dad made them.

It's o.k. I have plenty of good skills.

Friday Find

Happy Easter! Are you all asking yourselves, "Huh, I wonder if Jill is truly losing it since she has started making scary looking crafts like this four foot mad bunny? No, you can all rest easy, this is just one more of those happy items I find throughout my house. It's not quite as cool as the horse-lice-remover, or antler towel racks but it is seasonal.

Call me the Charade Champion

It was a very happy Easter weekend. Most of my family traveled from far far away to the middle-of-nowhere-Montana to spend the long weekend with us. Our weekend was filled with:

120 Dyed Eggs
75 Nerf darts constantly whizzing by me
10 pounds of flour used on pancakes, and bread
8 rounds of hand and foot that Jenny and I won
13 grand kids running madly through my house and yard in the ultimate egg hunt,

and 35 Charade clues that Jenny and I pulled off without a hitch. Oh it was something they will write books about someday. It was everyone in the house against the two of us. We thought we were unbeatable until Jenny spent the whole time trying to get me to say "Obama". Now ya know Jenny, I love ya and all, but going through all the effort for me to Say "Obama" just so you could do a sounds like for "Mama" probably wasn't' the best course. So, because of Jen's "Obama" "Mama" blunder I am pronouncing myself the Charade champion.

This picture if missing about 1/2 of everyone that was here, but you can see what a fun weekend we had.
